Mitsubishi EDM Hosts Medical Manufacturing Symposium

Manufacturers Learn How to Transition Successfully into Medical

Wood Dale, IL – MC Machinery Systems, Inc. co-hosted a Medical Symposium on July 13. More than 200 EDM users were in attendance, learning how to successfully transition into manufacturing for the medical industry.

Professor Kazuomi Sugamoto, MD. PhD. discussed recent trends in orthopedic surgery and instrumentation in his keynote address. He explained how the medical manufacturing process plays a critical role in the industry’s success and advancement.

A panel of EDM manufacturers served on an interactive panel, discussing with the audience how, when and why job shops serving the tool and die, mold making and automotive markets are successfully moving into manufacturing for the medical industry.
